The tulips planted in the Annual Bed have begun to open and create a gorgeous color display in the Lily Pool Terrace. Planted by curator Cayleb Long last fall, these spring bloomers have made a bit of an early debut thanks in part to the unseasonable warm 80-degree weather enjoyed in Brooklyn this past week. Of particular interest in this year’s tulip assortment is the large display of Darwin Hybrid Tulips, known for their large size, long stems, and brilliantly colored flowers. Be sure to also keep an eye out for the Rococo Parrot Tulip, its flamboyant, ruffled shape and exotic color make it a stand out in this year's exhibit!
